Pittsburgh Win Evens Series at 3
The Pittsburgh Industrials and the New York Knickerbockers will take the World's Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Industrials beat the Knickerbockers 7-4 at Washington Square Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Pittsburgh right-hander Antonio Butt was named player of the game in the win after he threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the second inning. That's when shortstop Milton Currie hit a single. The Industrials went on to win.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Pittsburgh manager told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow in New York. The scheduled starters for the game are Grant Bagley for the Pittsburgh Industrials and Phineas Flint for the the New York Knickerbockers.
