Traders Even With Bluebirds After Extra-Innings Win
The Chicago Traders got a strong game from starter Matthew Sullivan, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Traders took the 2-1 win over the Brooklyn Bluebirds in Game 2 of the World's Series in a 10th inning walk-off today. The win capped off a fine outing for the left-handed Sullivan, who was named player of the game. Sullivan threw 10 innings of 7-hit ball in the win, which brought the Traders into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Late in the game, shortstop Bingo Forester had a big at-bat for Chicago. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Hokey Lancaster. The play gave the Traders a 2-1 lead.

"This was a good win for us," said Forester. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The next game is set to be played Friday at Avenue U Park in Brooklyn. Slated to start are Walker Price for Chicago and Ice Clare for Brooklyn.
