Road Win Lifts Chicago to 2-1 Lead in World Series
The Chicago Traders got an exceptional performance from starter Matthew Sullivan, who silenced the Brooklyn offense en route to a 6-0 shutout win in Game 3 of the World's Series today. The Bluebirds could never get a bead on the left-handed Sullivan, who threw 9 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors. The Traders now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Sullivan, a native of Vincennes, Indiana, was dealing all game. He kept Brooklyn hitters off-balance, while giving the Traders 9 quality innings. Sullivan threw 118 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 4.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Sullivan.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Flatbush Park. Slated to start are Jacob Norwood for the Chicago Traders and Nathaniel Flannigan for the the Brooklyn Bluebirds.
