Bluebirds Win World's Series Crown
A celebratory mood filled the air as the Brooklyn Bluebirds closed out the season with a 5-0 victory over the Cincinnati Packers at Roman Arena to capture the World's Series, 4-3.

Giving the Packers credit for a hard-fought series, Bluebirds players said they believed throughout the postseason that their "destiny" was to be crowned American Circuit champions.

"We felt like this was our year all season long," said left fielder Dooley Sauer, who was named series MVP. "It was our destiny to win it and we did."

It was the 6th in franchise history. During the National Base Ball League Eastern Division regular season Brooklyn put up a 91-67 record and finished first.

"They're the champions and they deserve it," said a dejected Cincinnati manager . "We played good ball, they just played better than us."
