Terriers Win to Extend
Series Lead to 2-0 |
With starter Berry
Hocker leading the charge, the Boston
Terriers defeated the Cincinnati
Packers, 7-2, in Game 2 of the World's Series
today. The right-hander threw 7 innings of 4-hit
ball at Roman Arena to help Boston take a 2-0 lead
in the best-of-7 series.
Claud Crim
aided the Boston cause with a bases-clearing triple
in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right
fielder was 2-5 with 2 triples. He drove in 4 runs
and scored once.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support,"
said Hocker.
Game 3 is set to be played Friday, October 10th,
1913 in Boston. Slated to start are Harvey
Kelley for the Cincinnati Packers and Dimples
Claunch for the the Boston Terriers.
