Packers Clip Terriers 1-0
in World Series Contest |
The Cincinnati
Packers got a complete game effort from
starter Elijah
Graves to move into a 2-2 tie with the Boston
Terriers in the best-of-7 World's Series.
The Cincinnati
left-hander went the distance at Atlantic Avenue
Grounds, cooling off the Boston
Terriers and striking out 2 to help Cincinnati
take the 1-0 win that knotted the series.
Graves delivered a quality start for Cincinnati. The
5' 10" left-hander allowed no runs on 6 hits over 9
innings of work.
"Elijah's tempo and rhythm were good," said Packers
manager . "He was the key to us winning."
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue
Grounds in Boston. Slated to start are Roscoe
Brockman for Cincinnati and Berry
Hocker for Boston.
