In a crucial game, the New
York Knickerbockers put on their best show,
beating the St.
Louis Explorers by a final score of 1-0 today.
Edgar Blaney
earned player of the game honors, as he threw 8
innings of shutout ball. New York and St. Louis are
now tied at 2 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.
In his 129-pitch effort, Blaney allowed no earned
runs on 5 hits over 8.2 innings. He walked 3 and
struck out 1.
