Raucous Union Field Crowd Propels Traders to 4-2 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Chicago Traders topped the Philadelphia Quakers by the score of 4-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the World Series today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Chicago starter Lester Howel, who threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs in the win.

Togie Alford aided the Chicago cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Howel said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Millard Silver for the Philadelphia Quakers and Berry Hocker for the the Chicago Traders.
