Raucous Castle Point Field Crowd Propels Explorers to 7-1 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The St. Louis Explorers and the Philadelphia Quakers will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Explorers beat the Quakers 7-1 at Castle Point Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. St. Louis right-hander Hampton Bunker was named player of the game in the win after he threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball.

Bunker gave St. Louis a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 6 hits over 9 innings.

"I felt good even in the late innings," said Bunker after the game.

Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow at Castle Point Field in St. Louis. The scheduled starters for the game are Clay Easton for Philadelphia and Edgar Bath for St. Louis.
