Brooklyn Win Evens Series
at 1 |
The Brooklyn
Bluebirds got a complete game effort from
starter Tuck
Harrold to move into a 1-1 tie with the St.
Louis Explorers in the best-of-7 World Series.
The Brooklyn
right-hander went the distance at Castle Point
Field, cooling off the St.
Louis Explorers and striking out 1 to help
Brooklyn take the 2-0 win that knotted the series.
Harrold allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 9
innings for the Bluebirds. He walked 6 and struck
out 1.
"We had a good game plan," Harrold said, "and we
were able to execute it."
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Flatbush Park. The
scheduled starters for the game are Warley
Krueger for the St. Louis Explorers and Soloman
Carlson for the the Brooklyn Bluebirds.
