New York catcher Bob Pula produced all the offense the Knickerbockers would need today in the club's 5-2 win over the St. Louis Explorers.

Pula went 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once and was named player of the game, while New York moved into a tie in the World Series. The Knickerbockers and Explorers are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Pula's nice game included a clutch bases-clearing double in the top of the first.

"I'm not sweating it," St. Louis manager told reporters after the loss. "We'll recover. They say it's all about winning games, but I would put up with a heck of a lot of losses as long as we hoist that trophy at the end of the year."

The next game is scheduled for Friday at Knickerbocker Stadium in New York. Slated to start are Edgar Bath for St. Louis and Naman Futch for New York.
