Buffalo Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
Andy Mann was not ready to let the World Series end.

With the Buffalo Beavers backed into a corner, the left-handed Mann held off the St. Louis Explorers. He took player of the game honors after he threw 9 innings allowing 3 runs. The win cuts the series deficit for the Beavers to 3-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Lloyd Williams had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Beavers. Coming up with the bases loaded and Buffalo trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

Explorers manager did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday at Castle Point Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Dan Godin for the Buffalo Beavers and Dizzy Paradise for the the St. Louis Explorers.
