Buffalo Win Evens Series at 3
The Buffalo Beavers and the Pittsburgh Industrials will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Beavers beat the Industrials 7-4 at Allegheny Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Buffalo right-hander Johnny Lucas was named player of the game in the win after he threw 7 innings allowing 4 runs.

Joseph Pease's at-bat in the top of the first inning was a big one for Buffalo. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Buffalo leading 1-0, the third baseman reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run.

"We're happy," Pease told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Allegheny Field in Pittsburgh. Slated to start are Carl Koerner for Buffalo and George Brummett for Pittsburgh.
