Quakers Advance to World Series
After their 5-3 win today at Allegheny Field over the Pittsburgh Industrials, the Philadelphia Quakers will advance to the World Series. Philadelphia won the series by a 4-1 margin.

Leading the way for the Quakers was third baseman Alan Weston, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Philadelphia Quakers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New York Empires - San Francisco Seagulls series. San Francisco leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
