San Francisco Win Evens Series at 1
The San Francisco Seagulls topped the Toronto Hurons by the score of 6-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the League Championship Series today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and San Francisco starter Neil Meredith, who threw 9 innings of 8-hit ball in the win.

Sam Troy hit a run-scoring double off Sam Partridge in the top of the fifth, which put the Seagulls in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Troy had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Meredith.

Game 3 is set to be played Friday at Mission Field. Slated to start are Kent Albrecht for the Toronto Hurons and Ray Hayes for the the San Francisco Seagulls.
