Wilson, Chicago Start League Championship Series Strong with Home Win
The Chicago Traders started the League Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Pittsburgh Industrials at Union Field by a score of 6-5 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Traders right fielder Lou Wilson was named player of the game after he was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times.

In the bottom of the third, Chicago left fielder Ken Warren had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and no one out, Warren stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 6-0, Chicago. For the game, he went 1-4.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Wilson said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Union Field. Slated to start are David Acosta for the Pittsburgh Industrials and Dave Keen for the the Chicago Traders.
