Terriers Even With Traders After Extra-Innings Win
The Boston Terriers went the distance and then some at Union Field today to drag themselves back into a tie with the Chicago Traders.

It took 10 innings to settle Game 2 of the World Series, but Boston eventually took the 3-2 win behind the efforts of starting pitcher and player of the game Jerry Sneed. Sneed threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball to aid the Boston cause. The clubs are now tied 1-1 in their best-of-7 series.

Boston used the timely hitting of Jim Spencer to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Terriers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Spencer.

Game 3 is set to be played Friday at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Eddie Germany for Chicago and John Manders for Boston.
