League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Sneed and Boston
The Boston Terriers powered past the visiting San Francisco Seagulls, 3-2, in the opener of the League Championship Series at Atlantic Avenue Grounds today. Boston starting pitcher Jerry Sneed threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs, to lead the charge. The Terriers now lead the series 1-0.

In the bottom of the third, Boston shortstop Stuffy Wilcox had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Wilcox stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-2, Boston. For the game, he went 1 for 4.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Wilcox said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Neil Meredith for the San Francisco Seagulls and Clint Schultz for the the Boston Terriers.
