Almost There: Chicago On Cusp of WS Triumph After 8-2 Win
The Chicago Traders moved to within one game of the Round 3 today, downing the Boston Terriers on the road at Atlantic Avenue Grounds by a score of 8-2. Traders right-hander Ken Amison was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Traders a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.

It could have been a different outcome for Chicago, had it not been for Lou Wilson, the 24-year old right fielder . Wilson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.

"We don't have much margin for error now," Terriers manager Clark Anderson said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Joe Shannon for the Chicago Traders and Jerry Sneed for the the Boston Terriers.
