League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for McHargue and Boston
The Boston Terriers started the League Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Seattle Emeralds at Atlantic Avenue Grounds by a score of 6-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Terriers right-hander Ben McHargue was named player of the game after he threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball.

McHargue delivered a quality start for Boston. The 6' 1" right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings of work.

"It's a mindset," said McHargue. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Richard McCarthy for the Seattle Emeralds and Clint Schultz for the the Boston Terriers.
