Terriers Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
The Boston Terriers moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the Seattle Emeralds on the road at Puget Field by a score of 5-3. Terriers right-hander Ben McHargue was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings allowing 3 runs. The win gives the Terriers a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Boston used a timely hit from Rankin Meadows to get the win. The first baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Terriers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said McHargue.

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Puget Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Clint Schultz for Boston and Juan Buenrostro for Seattle.
