Terriers Cruise to World Series with Sweep
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the American Baseball League League Championship Series. It turned out quite a bit different.

\nThe Boston Terriers swept aside the Seattle Emeralds to advance to the World Series, winning the final game by a 4-3 score at Puget Field.

The series MVP was left fielder Jim Spencer, who hit .462 with a .562 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Boston Terriers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Pittsburgh Industrials - Chicago Traders series. Chicago leads the series 2 game to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
