Home Loss Shrinks Industrials' Series Lead to 2-1
The Boston Terriers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Pittsburgh Industrials, winning 7-1 at Allegheny Field today. Terriers right-hander Ben McHargue was named player of the game after he threw 9 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Terriers to 2-1 in the best-of-7 World Series.

McHargue allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 9 innings for the Terriers. He walked 1 and struck out 4.

"I had everything working," said McHargue.

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Allegheny Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Clint Schultz for Boston and Sid DeForest for Pittsburgh.
