Terriers Hammered by Davis, Drop Game 6 to Emeralds
The Seattle Emeralds and the Boston Terriers will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Emeralds beat the Terriers 8-3 at Atlantic Avenue Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Seattle catcher Billy Davis was named player of the game in the win after he went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4.

Davis turned the game around in the top of the seventh. That's when the Seattle catcher dialed up a grand slam home run. Just like that, Seattle's 3-1 deficit turned into a 5-3 lead.

"Every team in baseball loses," Terriers manager Clark Anderson said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Slated to start are Juan Buenrostro for Seattle and Ben McHargue for Boston.
