Traders Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
The Chicago Traders moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the Brooklyn Bluebirds on the road at Flatbush Park by a score of 2-1. Traders right-hander Joe Shannon had a strong outing. He threw 9 innings allowing 1 run. The win gives the Traders a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Chicago relied on the hitting of Ken Warren to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Traders on top, 2-0. For the game, Warren had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Shannon said his team "played with focus."

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Flatbush Park. Slated to start are Dave Keen for the Chicago Traders and Mickey Halifax for the the Brooklyn Bluebirds.
