Terriers Hammered by Batkin, Fall Further Behind in LCS
Riding the 3-hit performance of second baseman Harold Batkin, the Seattle Emeralds stopped the visiting Boston Terriers, 6-2, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. Batkin went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Emeralds, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Seattle left fielder Tommy Blanks had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Blanks stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-1, Seattle. For the game, he was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.

"Things aren't going great right now," Boston manager Clark Anderson said. "But you don't need me to tell you that."

The next game is set to be played Friday at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Jose Juarez for Seattle and Harry Vickers for Boston.
