Boston Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The Boston Terriers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Seattle Emeralds, winning 3-1 at Atlantic Avenue Grounds today. Terriers right-hander Harry Vickers threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Terriers to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

The Emeralds had trouble solving Vickers, who surrendered 1 run on 6 hits over 9 innings.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Vickers said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Slated to start are Juan Buenrostro for the Seattle Emeralds and Ben McHargue for the the Boston Terriers.
