Chicago Takes League
Championship Series |
The Chicago
Hawks are one step closer to winning a World
Series, and the season came to a close for the New
York Empires.
Chicago won the League Championship Series 4-2, with
a 5-3 victory in the deciding game at Queens Field
today.
Chicago left fielder Jim
Griffin was named the MVP of the series, after
hitting .500 with a .579 on-base percentage. He had
4 homers, drove in 8 RBI and scored 7 runs.
"I just hope I can keep it up in the World Series,"
he said.
The Chicago Hawks
don't know who they will face in the next round.
They will play the winner of the Detroit
Wolverines - New
York Knickerbockers series. That series is
tied at 3 games apiece. The World Series schedule
will be announced after the League Championship
Series finishes. |
