Traders Hammered by Rojas,
Fall Further Behind in LCS |
Riding the 3-hit performance
of shortstop Victor
Rojas, the New
York Knickerbockers got a road win against the
Chicago Traders,
5-4, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series
today. Rojas went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2
singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the
Knickerbockers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3
games to 0.
Rojas had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st
in the top of the seventh, when he hit a 2-run home
run. The Knickerbockers went on to win.
"This was a good win for us," said Rojas. "It's one
more step toward our ultimate goal."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow in
Chicago. The scheduled starters for the game are Herb
Hinton for New York and Ken
Amison for Chicago.
