New York Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in LCS
The New York Empires got a strong performance from pitcher Bob Ott, who stymied the visiting Seattle Emeralds en route to a win, 9-0, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. The Emeralds could never get a bead on the right-handed Ott, who threw 7 innings of shutout ball. The Empires now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The Empires picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"Feels good to get the job done," Ott said after the game.

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Chuck Hathaway for the Seattle Emeralds and Charlie Lambert for the the New York Empires.
