League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Young and Cleveland
The Cleveland Bobcats started the League Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Chicago Traders at Lakefront Stadium by a score of 7-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bobcats left-hander Don Young threw 9 innings of 3-hit ball.

Young pitched a complete game for Cleveland. The 26-year-old left-hander was charged with 1 run on 3 hits. He struck out 3 during his 101-pitch performance.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Young told the Cleveland Today. "It's as simple as that."
