Wranglers Get Past Knickerbockers 6-2 to Open LCS
The Dallas Wranglers started the League Championship Series in style today, winning on the road against the New York Knickerbockers at Knickerbocker Stadium by a score of 6-2 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Wranglers left-hander Mike Myers threw 9 innings of 8-hit ball.

Dallas used a well-timed hit by Pete Jones to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Wranglers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We won," Myers told assembled media after the game. "I guess that's all that really matters."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow in New York. The scheduled starters for the game are Adrian Cook for Dallas and John Ambrose for New York.
