Wranglers Win to Extend
Series Lead to 2-0 |
The Dallas
Wranglers got an exceptional performance from
starter Adrian
Cook, who silenced the New
York offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in
Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. The
Knickerbockers could never get a bead on the
right-handed Cook, who threw 9 innings of shutout
ball. The Wranglers now hold a 2-0 advantage in the
best-of-7 series.
Cook went the distance for Dallas, allowing no runs
on 5 hits, while striking out 2.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all
you can do," said Cook.
The next game is scheduled for Friday at Bluff Park.
The scheduled starters for the game are Doug
Leonard for the New York Knickerbockers and Jimmie
Johnson for the the Dallas Wranglers.
