Almost There: Dallas On Cusp of LCS Triumph After 4-1 Win
The Dallas Wranglers moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the visiting New York Knickerbockers at Bluff Park by a score of 4-1. Wranglers left-hander Mike Myers had a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Wranglers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Myers was in the zone all game. He frustrated New York hitters while giving the Wranglers 9 innings of quality work. Myers threw 114 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 3 punchouts.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Bluff Park. The scheduled starters for the game are John Ambrose for New York and Adrian Cook for Dallas.
