Home Loss Shrinks Wranglers' Series Lead to 3-2
The New York Knickerbockers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Dallas Wranglers, winning 5-4 at Bluff Park today. Knickerbockers center fielder Jim Fulkerson was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Knickerbockers to 3-2 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Fulkerson contributed in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat among others that helped New York get the win.

"We'll savor this win," Fulkerson told the New York Gazette, "then get ready for the next game."

The next game is set to be played Tuesday, October 15th, 1957 in New York. Slated to start are Jimmie Johnson for the Dallas Wranglers and Doug Leonard for the the New York Knickerbockers.
