Wranglers Get Past Pobladores 6-3 to Open WS
The Dallas Wranglers started the World Series in style today, winning on the road against the Los Angeles Pobladores at San Vicente Park by a score of 6-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Wranglers left-hander Mike Myers threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball.

Bob Novak, the 14-year veteran , had a direct impact on the outcome. Novak contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Dallas up, 3-0.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Dallas manager William Albrecht told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Los Angeles. Slated to start are Adrian Cook for Dallas and Ernie Backman for Los Angeles.
