to Settle Game 3, Los Angeles Now Leads Series 2-1

When the games really matter,
the Los Angeles
Pobladores put on their best show, beating the
Toronto Hurons
by a final score of 6-3 today. Herman
Carter went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2
walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Los
Angeles now leads Toronto 2-1 in the best-of-7
affair.
Los Angeles won the game in the bottom of the tenth
inning. With two outs and Gomer
Cooper on the mound for Toronto, catcher Royce
Ingram hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing
Pobladores fans to their feet.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Toronto
manager Jim Burns.
Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled
starters for the game are Sam
Partridge for Toronto and Swanee
Law for Los Angeles.
