Raucous San Vicente Park Crowd Propels Pobladores to 4-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1
The Los Angeles Pobladores topped the Dallas Wranglers by the score of 4-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the World Series today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Los Angeles starter Ernie Backman, who threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball in the win.

Walt McCarrell aided the Los Angeles cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3.

"The vibe's good," said Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson. "We've got to keep it going."

Game 3 is set to be played Sunday, October 20th, 1957 in Dallas. The scheduled starters for the game are Tony Williams for Los Angeles and Jimmie Johnson for Dallas.
