Pobladores Even With
Wranglers After Extra-Innings Win
|
In a crucial game, the Los
Angeles Pobladores put on their best show,
beating the Dallas
Wranglers by a final score of 2-0 today. Kirk
Abalon threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Los
Angeles and Dallas are now tied at 2 wins apiece in
the best-of-7 affair.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Hamilton
Craft to seize the win. The right fielder
stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth
inning to put the Pobladores on top, 2-0. It was his
only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Runs were at a premium," said Los Angeles manager
Kurt Peterson.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bluff
Park in Dallas. The scheduled starters for the game
are Ernie
Backman for the Los Angeles Pobladores and Adrian
Cook for the the Dallas Wranglers.
