Bobcats Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
The Cleveland Bobcats moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the Cincinnati Packers on the road at Roman Arena by a score of 7-5. Bobcats right-hander Skip Shannon had a strong outing. He threw 9.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Bobcats a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

The most important at-bat for Cleveland came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Joe Garwood reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run, putting Cleveland up, 6-5.

"We're going to have to play flawless baseball from here on out," Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch said. "Which, let's face it, we haven't been doing lately."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Roman Arena in Cincinnati.
