Cleveland Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in WS
The Cleveland Bobcats got a strong performance from pitcher Mark Bomberger, who stymied the visiting Los Angeles Pobladores en route to a win, 6-2, in Game 3 of the World Series today. The Pobladores could never get a bead on the left-handed Bomberger, who threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The Bobcats now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

John Sublett dealt the Pobladores a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Cleveland leading 1-0, Sublett hit a first pitch changeup for a run-scoring single.

"We did a lot of things right," said Sublett.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland.
