Law Handcuffs Hurons,
Pobladores Seize 2-0 Advantage in LCS

The Los
Angeles Pobladores got a strong performance
from pitcher Swanee
Law, who stymied the visiting Toronto
Hurons en route to a win, 7-1, in Game 2 of
the League Championship Series today. The Hurons
could never get a bead on the left-handed Law, who
threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The Pobladores now
hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Bill
Fulton barreled up a fastball from Kent
Albrecht. The result was a 3-run home run,
putting the Pobladores in front, 7-1.
"Winning the game is always the first objective,"
Law said.
The next game is set to be played for Friday,
October 10th , 1958 at Toronto Park in Toronto.
