The Toronto Hurons got a great start from 34-year-old left-hander Sam Partridge, as Toronto won the contest, 3-2, at Dominion Field. Partridge threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball in the win, which knotted the best-of-7 series at 2-2.

Had John Young not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Young hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Hurons.

"Every loss stings," said San Francisco manager Al Borie. "This one is no exception."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dominion Field in Toronto.
