Fulton Handcuffs Hurons, Packers Seize 2-0 Advantage in WS
Dennis Fulton pitched a gem to help the Cincinnati Packers escape with a tight 2-1 victory over the Toronto Hurons in a low-scoring World Series contest today. The right-handed Fulton threw 8.2 innings allowing 1 runs in the win, just enough for the Packers on a day when their offense dried up. Cincinnati now leads the best-of-7 series 2-0.

Witness York had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Cincinnati. He came through with a solo home run to put Cincinnati in front, 2-0.

"We put together a nice win," Fulton said.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 19th , 1959 at Dominion Field in Toronto.
