Seagulls Clip Quakers 3-2
in WS Contest |
The San
Francisco Seagulls and the Philadelphia
Quakers will take the World Series to a
decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today,
the Seagulls beat the Quakers 3-2 at Mission Field
to force the series into what will essentially be a
one-game playoff. San Francisco left-hander Paul
Schuler had a big role in the win. He threw
8.0 innings of 5-hit ball.
Chuck Olsen,
the San Francisco shortstop, contributed a
run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth inning
to make the score 3-2, Seagulls. For the game, Olsen
was 1 for 4 with a double.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said
Schuler. "Everyone's feeling positive after that
win."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at
Mission Field in San Francisco.
