Toronto Takes League Championship Series in Deciding Game
After their 2-0 win today at Hyde Park Stadium over the Chicago Hawks, the Toronto Hurons will advance to the World Series. Toronto won the series by a 4-3 margin.

Leading the way for the Hurons was starting pitcher Vern Gould, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Toronto Hurons will play against the Cleveland Bobcats in the next round. Cleveland won their series against the Kansas City Bulls 4 games to 3. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
