Home Field Advantage: Johnson, Dallas Open World Series with Win
The Dallas Wranglers started the World Series in style today, downing the visiting Cleveland Bobcats at Bluff Park by a score of 8-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Wranglers first baseman Lanny Johnson went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

In the bottom of the fifth, Dallas third baseman Randy Paterson had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and two out, Paterson stroked a 2-run home run to right. It made the score 5-3, Dallas. For the game, he was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Dallas skipper William Albrecht.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bluff Park in Dallas.
