Batkin Blasts Wranglers, Bobcats Take Game 4, 6-3
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Dallas Wranglers team, the Cleveland Bobcats had a tough assignment. Harold Batkin delivered.

The Bobcats second baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 6-3. Batkin, 37, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Cleveland now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Doug Leonard dealt the Wranglers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Cleveland leading 1-0, Leonard, who finished 3rd in the NBL in wins with 22 in 1956, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"I always intend to finish what I've started," said Leonard.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland.
