Pittsburgh Win to Pull Even With New York
The Pittsburgh Industrials topped the New York Knickerbockers by the score of 4-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Divisional Series today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Pittsburgh starter Roger Long, who threw 9.0 innings of 7-hit ball in the win.

Long went the distance for Pittsburgh. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1.

"Hopefully history will remember the 1968 Pittsburgh Industrials as a group of guys who played their hardest and had each other's backs," Long told reporters.
