Fulton Blasts Bluebirds, Explorers Take Game 3, 5-4
At 38, Bill Fulton knows he may not have many playoff appearances left, so he was determined to make it memorable. Mission accomplished.

The St. Louis Explorers third baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 to help his club get past the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 5-4, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series at Flatbush Park today. With the win, St. Louis now trails Brooklyn 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Fulton delivered big-time for St. Louis, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Bob Hill. The game-changing hit put the Explorers on top, 4-3.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Fulton said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Flatbush Park in Brooklyn.
